Furniture welded to a drawing, not a catalogue

Anything that can be drawn and carries a load. Most commissions fall into a handful of types.

• Bed frames, headboards and bedside units
• Console and side tables, plant stands, coat frames
• Reception desks and retail display units

Furniture reads as heavy or light depending almost entirely on the section size, so we draw it before agreeing it.

• Mild steel box section from 20×20 mm up to 100×100 mm
• Flat bar and plate for stretchers, brackets and table tops
• Grade 304 stainless where the piece meets water
• Solid round bar for legs and frames that need to look slender

The finish decides how the piece ages indoors. We will recommend one for the room it is going into.

• Powder coating in any RAL colour, matt to gloss
• Hand-blackened and waxed, leaving the weld and grain visible
• Brushed stainless with a consistent linished grain
• Clear-lacquered raw steel, for a finish that keeps the mill marks
